About Project

A detailed definition of the project and its objectives

"Al-Madmoun" is a local social initiative concerned with raising awareness and developing media literacy by promoting responsible consumption of content and news on social media platforms.
The initiative came to be a title for every individual in our Arab community in Israel, and all the educational resources and valuable information it contains have been selected and adapted to take into account the unique characteristics of this community. Through this platform, we seek to provide an interactive space that contributes to improving the skills of our community members to consume digital content consciously and responsibly and distinguish between different sources of information. We also aim to spread awareness about the importance of producing moral and ethical content for society and develop the ability to think critically to deal with the amount of information the user receives on the network.
Using modern tools and methodologies, the initiative seeks to expand the scope of its impact to include the most significant number of societal groups, focusing on the groups that use social media the most and consume content via the digital space.
"Al-Madmoun" also works to build a network of specialists to spread this culture in various societal and educational frameworks.

Project Team Vision

Our Arab community in Israel faces significant challenges in light of the rapid technological development. It is in dire need of initiatives aimed at enhancing digital awareness and knowledge, as well as improving the use of social media and its information.
The data indicates the need to take serious steps to guide our local community towards safe and responsible use of technology, which requires spreading awareness about the dangers of the Internet and the information it contains and teaching our community members how to protect themselves from the harm that may befall them as a result of excessive use of social media.
“Al Madmoun” is a new local initiative that specifically targets the Arab community in Israel and is concerned with raising awareness and developing media knowledge on social media platforms.
